Tiger Management Summer News Update

Tiger Management hit the ground running this season and I wanted to update you on some recent news.

First, I’d like to share our latest press that ran in the August 13th edition of The Gazette of Politics and Business that reaches the business community in and around the Washington, DC metro area. I was interviewed (and photographed!) for an Executive Spotlight feature to share my story as a successful business owner and entrepreneur as well as provide my insights and ’secrets to success’ that I’ve gathered and applied over the years to build my business. This was great fun and turned out to be fantastic story!

Second, as women owned businesses play a vital role in our global economy – contributing 3 trillion dollars accounting for 16% of jobs to the US economy, for example — I try to support different organizations and take on opportunities where I can offer insights and help to my fellow businesswomen.  Back in July, I was honored to be interviewed by Washington Women’s Weekly for their Women-On-Top section.   I shared my story about how I became the businesswoman I am today,  obstacles I overcame along the way, and what I have seen to be “Great Leadership.”

In addition, I recently had the opportunity to write a paper and case study focused on helping women-owned businesses succeed during complex times by determining and implementing winning growth strategies.  The paper and case study is part of The Roadmap to 2020:  Fueling the Growth of Women’s Enterprise Development, published by Quantum Leaps, Inc. and sponsored by IBM.   This is an outstanding guidebook for women business leaders.

My paper and  case study,  The Impact of Rapid Growth in Services Sector Exporting on Women-Owned Businesses, and Case Study:Trade in Services between the US and China, can be found on pages 49-50 of the Roadmap.  The paper focuses on the tremendous growth opportunity for women-owned and women-led businesses in global trade in services, the benefits of exporting your services, and how to determine if this is the right business strategy for your business and then achieve your goals.   The case study uses real examples to amplify points in the paper.

I continue to be open to mentoring and advising fellow business leaders.  Please let me know  if you have any questions and I’d be happy to share my advice and best practices, developed over the course of my experience and career.

Thank you all for your continued support of Tiger Management and enjoy the rest of your summer!

Best regards,

Juanita Hardy
